It’s time to get back to doing what you love.
I can help.
Pelvic floor & orthopedic physical therapy serving San Francisco & Marin counties
Hello and welcome!
I’m Shelby, a Doctor of Physical Therapy. I’ve had the opportunity to work with a wide range of patients across four U.S. states, and that experience has shaped how I practice today.
I’m now exactly where I want to be — providing individualized pelvic floor and orthopedic physical therapy in people’s homes throughout the Bay Area.
What can I help you with?
-
I recommend reaching out early in pregnancy to proactively address discomfort such as leakage, back pain, diastasis recti, or broad ligament symptoms. In the third trimester, we’ll begin customized, individualized birth preparation to support the birth experience you hope for.
-
I work with people navigating lingering symptoms such as core weakness or abdominal separation, C-section scar discomfort, perineal tearing, pelvic heaviness, prolapse, low back pain, feeding-related neck or shoulder pain, and so much more.
-
Hormonal changes during perimenopause and menopause can contribute to symptoms such as pelvic discomfort, urinary urgency or leakage, pain with intercourse, and changes in tissue sensitivity. I work with you to address these changes through education, movement, and individualized physical therapy, with the goal of improving comfort, confidence, and day-to-day function during this transition.

A few examples of pelvic pain & sexual health dysfunctions include pain with sex, pudendal neuralgia, interstitial cystitis (IC), pelvic, vaginal, or tailbone pain, difficulty relaxing the pelvic floor, or discomfort during gynecologic exams. Treatment focuses on addressing the underlying contributors to pain, improving pelvic floor coordination, and restoring comfort with movement, daily activities, and sexual activity.
-
I love treating patients who enjoy these activities, just like me! I work with climbers, hikers, and runners who want to keep doing the things they love without pain getting in the way. I enjoy these activities myself and understand the physical demands they place on the body. From knees and ankles to hips and feet, care is focused on practical, movement-based work that supports getting back outside feeling stronger and more confident.
-
I work with people dealing with persistent or recurring pain that makes everyday life harder than it needs to be. This may include low back or hip pain, stiffness, or aches anywhere in the body that show up with sitting, standing, walking, or daily tasks.
-
For folks working long hours from home who may be experiencing — or heading toward — neck or shoulder tension, low back or hip pain, stiffness, or discomfort that builds throughout the day. Treatment often includes movement-based care alongside practical, easy-to-implement workstation and posture adjustments to help reduce pain, improve comfort, and make the workday feel more sustainable.
-
I work with people who are naturally more flexible and may experience joint instability, frequent aches, or pain that feels unpredictable or hard to pin down. This can show up as recurring strains, joints that feel loose or unstable, or symptoms that flare with activity or fatigue. Treatment focuses on building strength, control, and confidence around the joints so your body feels more supported during daily life, exercise, and movement.
